Shay Lo is the nickname of the Jennifer Lopez Mitchell fan who was a hit with her friends. When she was a young girl she discovered a passion for the performing arts and discussed with her parents her desire to pursue a career. She was keen to attend lessons in acting at Toronto following her success at modeling and dancing. Mitchell's biggest break came following her landing a number of commercials and guest spots in television shows, Mitchell was offered the role of Emily Fields. Her acting talents were well-respected by both fans and critics. The Possession of Hannah Grace and Mother's Day were among her debut big screen films. The film gained her more acclaim due to her performance as the protagonist in the psychological thriller You. In addition to acting, Shay Mitchell has also ventured into writing. She co-wrote the adult novel Bliss along with Michaela Blaney.
