Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox born December 25 in 1954. She was born in Aberdeen Scotland. Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox are her parents. Lennox was accepted to the Royal Academy of Music in London during the 1970s when she took flute lessons as well as the harpsichord for three consecutive years. Lennox was paid a stipend and did part-time jobs in order to make ends meet. Lennox as she was studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London, was not happy with her performance as compared to the performance of her peers. She started to think about alternatives. Lennox played the flute in the band Dragons Playground. The group didn't get to compete in the talent competition New Faces on I.T.V. Between 1977 and the year 1980 she was the vocalist in The Tourists. A British pop group. This is where she first got to know Dave Stewart with whom she will form the pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox was then able to begin work on her first solo album Diva, which was released around 1992. It became a huge hit both critically and commercially. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth solo album was Released in October of 2014. The C.D. includes a collection of Lennoxs favourite blues and soul songs from her childhood. Additionally, in May 2019, Lennox published Lepidoptera a collection of four piano pieces that she improvised. The E.P. The E.P. is her first self-produced album as well as a follow-up to an art installation she designed at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art entitled Now I Let you Go...
